 Merchant Marine Circular No. 266

Please find attached copy of Merchant Marine Circular No. 266 recently issued by Panama Maritime Authority (PMA).The Administration gladly informs that has recently granted the category of Merchant Marine Privative Consulate to the Panamanian Consulate in Turkey.  Under this category, this Consulate is now authorized to receive and process applications for the provisional registration of ships, preliminary recording of title deeds, pre-cancellation notices and mortgages of vessels of the National Merchant Marine, collect taxes and rates related to the registration and operation of Panamanian flagged vessels, as well as manage some technical matters.  The contact info of this Consulate is stated in the attached circular.

The authorization of this Consulate as Merchant Marine Privative Consulate is with the main purpose of covering important needs of  the Panama fleet in that region.  The Administration is always committed in giving prompt and effective response to users of Panamanian flag worldwide.
